Travel Ideas – 5 Places to Visit in Texas
Looking for some great vacation ideas? Consider a trip to the Lone State Highlights for your next family vacation. Texas is very large and includes many different types of terrain. From big cities to the mountains, beautiful beaches, the mountains, deserts and forests, Texas has much to offer. There are so many things to see and this makes it difficult to choose, but here are some ideas that definitely very happy holiday voucher worth considering for your next trip.
Big Bend National Park
Big Bend National Park covers a large area of southwest Texas. Including mountains, deserts and rivers. In short distance you can travel from the banks of the Rio Grande in the Emory Peak with an altitude of 7825 feet. Camping and hiking are popular in the Big Bend. Day trips or multi-single-float is available in the Rio Grande, and the landscape through some canyons is absolutely stunning.
Palo Duro Canyon State Park
Sometimes called the "Grand Canyon of Texas" Palo Duro Canyon is a "must see" for any visitor to Texas. The canyon is 120 miles long and in some areas 20 miles wide and reaches a depth of 800 feet. The park offers on-site horse rentals, home rentals rural, tent and RV sites and many trails for hiking and cycling. Texas Musical Drama plays inside the canyon. Enjoy a spectacular dinner and show with the beautiful scenery of the canyon as a backdrop to the scene.
Padre Island
Padre Island is a barrier island along the Texas coast. It extends about 130 miles from Corpus Christi, in the northern resort of South Padre Island. Padre Island National Seashore occupies the center of the northern part of the island. It is undeveloped, and offers many opportunities for wildlife observation. Activities include beachcombing, boating, camping, fishing, hiking and off-road adventures. South Padre Island is a popular tourist center, located at the southern tip of the island. It offers a wide range of accommodations, beautiful white sand beaches, and fun for the whole family.
San Antonio
The Alamo usually comes to mind when talking about San Antonio but is just one of many attractions you can find here. San Antonio is a wonderful city to visit and loves to see and do. While you're here, explore Natural Bridge Caverns, and pan for gemstones. Tour the River Walk and enjoy a good meal or dessert at one of the outdoor cafes. If you're tired of walking just to get on a boat for a quick visit to your next fate. Other attractions include the San Antonio Sea World, Six Flags Fiesta Texas and Splashtown Water Park.
Dallas
No visit to Texas is complete without a visit to the "Big D" Dallas offers a wide range of selection of accommodation and restaurants to satisfy most travel for all budgets. Visit Dallas Zoo, Six Flags or any of the water parks. If you are interested in sports, Dallas offers plenty of choice. While in the center of the city, be sure to visit the Tower of the meeting, the 6th floor museum and eat at the West End.
